Are you a physiotherapist with a heart for elderly care?

We are looking for you who want to make a real difference. At Vardaga, you will work closely with both care staff and residents, in a daily routine where teamwork and operationally relevant interventions are in focus. We are now looking for a physiotherapist for our three elderly care homes in Västerås.

Highlights:

  • Training for your success: Through our educational activity Lära, you will have access to comprehensive introduction, training, and development programs.

  • Secure conditions and several benefits: We offer collective agreements and a benefits portal with a large number of discounts and offers.

  • Leadership-trained managers: Our absolute ambition is to always offer you a coaching and supportive manager who works together with you in everyday life.

  • One of Sweden's best employers: For several years, we have been ranked highest in the care industry according to an independent measurement, which is noticeable in your daily life. Read more here (#).

  • Career and development opportunities: Do you want new tasks? With us, you have the opportunity to work in other parts of the organization or become a manager.

About the role

In Västerås, we have had our own organization with occupational therapists and physiotherapists since November 2025. This has been a successful initiative where we see a more continuous, present, and coordinated way of working, supporting both residents and employees.

You will have your base in three elderly care homes within Vardaga and be an important part of the team around our care recipients. Here you will find colleagues with great commitment and experience – looking forward to working together with you to create a safe and active daily life for our residents.

In the role of physiotherapist, you will find, together with the residents, the best ways to use their own abilities in everyday life. You support and motivate individuals to develop and maintain their physical, cognitive, and social abilities themselves. This often involves:

  • making assessments and adapting the everyday environment.

  • testing and prescribing physical and cognitive aids.

  • supervising your colleagues in rehabilitative interventions, approaches, transfer techniques, etc.

  • having contact with the residents' relatives.

About the units in Västerås

You will work operationally close to three different care homes in Västerås, with both dementia and somatic focus:

  • Pilfinksgården – located centrally in the district of Råby, with a focus on people with dementia. Here we offer individually adapted care with heart, integrity, and choice.

  • Granen – a somatic elderly care home with 36 places distributed over three floors. The home is beautifully located in Råby, close to forests and green areas.

  • Tujagården – a somatic elderly care home with 36 places, located in Skiljebo. The home is surrounded by forest and nice walking paths, creating a calm and pleasant environment for both residents and staff.
